How many nights have you spent away from your spouse?

I am a young military wife, and consider myself lucky to have had almost 6 straight months of being with my husband every night. Now he is overseas. I wonder if people know how I feel, because I wonder how many nights have you spent apart from your spouse? Has anyone never been apart for a night?

Pretty impressive. Those nights must have been very strange for everyone, because they were so rare.

My husband deployed 2 months after we got married. He was gone a year. We'll be married 2 years july 2. He's deployed again dec. The first deployment was hard but I had my family to help me through it. This time, we are living in another state so I will be alone when he deploys again. I have no family here in TN ( I moved from FL) and no friends. My only advice is to avoid the news, stay busy and dont think about the what ifs.

It is definately all the worse being away from family, and everyone you know, during deployment. I am trying to keep active, and have never been much of a news watcher. Thanks for your advice, and I hope you make many new friends!

my ex husband was in the army, so i do know sort of what you are going through. i mean the longest i was away from him due to the military was like a month and that was just for special training, though i know that does not compare to your husband being overseas, because you have to constant worry about his safety. i hope is all is well and he will return home safe soon.

I can't relate much with your situation although I can imagine. I've only been away from my hubby for a week or so every so often so I can see my mom or dad and so they can see CJ and how he's grown.
Although I like the break away from hubby once in awhile, I know that it won't be but a week and we'll be together again.
I can just imagine how it is for you; knowing that you won't be seeing your hubby for who knows how long and when you do, that it'll only be for a few days at most.
Bless you both. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

I am a Army wife. I have been married for almost 2 years. I got married April 2nd 2005, my husband left for iraq Aug 8th of 2005. He got back home in July and will be leaving again around July. But when he is home it makes it worth all the nights without him.
