what is the point of tagging your posts?

Mylot encourages us to put tags in our topics and responses inorder for it to be found. Some people use the search box to find topics to respond to, thats why tagging is important. Mylot also uses the tags we input to organize our topics and discussions inorder to be found more easily through search. Tagging is recommended but is not mandatory. A user may choose to put a tag in a discussion or response.
