Hi there!
I wanted to open this discussion up for anyone at all who needs any help with basic mathematics questions or concerns. I teach basic math for a living and can help anyone who has difficulty with anything - from Decimals to Fractions, Percents to Geometry, or Ratios to Algebra.
Please feel free to ask questions or to voice your general frustrations with math!
Cheers!
-Charlie

Oh my! Where were you n the late fifties and sixties when I needed you? I know from looking at your profile that you probably weren't even a twinkle in your mom and dad's eyes yet. Actually it is the new math as they call it that is a frustraton to me. I admire teachers. A good one who really care is a blessing. I had some very good teachers.

I was good at maths in school, but later shifted to Accountancy as Chemistry was a difficult subject for me. When I was in school Chemistry was compulsory even to become an Engineer. Accounts also involve maths but not as complicated as the complex formulas in mathematics. I saw another thread where someone asked a mathematical problem, but no one had responded except me. I think you wouldn't have seen it.

Since the time has changed, the way of teaching too. Nowadays, students across the grades are more comfortable with online tutoring services. I think online tutoring is the best way to help students doing their studies. Online tutors provided 1-to-1 service to the students. There are several sites available to help students learning math. I personally like tutorteddy.com. My daughter uses it; she is in 8th grade and has improved a lot after she has started taking online math tuition from this site.
