When they get older I think girls are more expensive, they have more necessities than boys, but as small kids they're about the same.

I think its equally the same-All depending on how you do it. If you're a good budgeter/ bargain shopper etc. you can make it even. I have one of each, and I try and make it extremely equal to avoid their jealousy. In my opinion I think that boys are easier to raise however.

I tend to find more girl things on clearance and stuff. I have a really hard time finding htings for my boy-compared to my daughter. so I guess it also varies by area as well.

It requires more money to raise the girl child than the boys. But the girl child when grown up will have more affection and love towards the parents than the boy child.

In Indian experience, Yes. The girl convinces her husband to take in her parents to look after them in evening hours of their life. I have 3 solid examples of my grand parents family (cousins). Earlier people who were carving for male child, now prefer female child. Do you know in education, throughout girls fare better than boys in Karntaka, India. Generally women folk have greater kindness, tenderness, feeling compared to men folk.

I would say boys they don't need the makeup and all that girly stuff. And they don't care if they don't have 20 pairs of jeans in the closet. Girls just seem to want more.

I would guess more often than not, it would be more expensive to raise a girl. They're more into the materialistic things than boys.

I have 3 daughters, and therefore do not know the answer to that question. I am lucky in that I could pass them all hand-me-downs, and did not have to worry about it.
