Are celebrities justified in edorsement of a product

Hi everybody,,,i think this topic should be given a thought for a sec..because these celebrities are paid huge amounts...and all these add up to the cost of the product which at last is to bear by the end customer(public)..thus paying extra money...that which can be purchased at a low price.........

well that's how the commercial industry works. celebrities are chosen to endorse the product because these people are already icons and have many fans and followers. i think it is justified that they endorse the products because people will not be buying products endorsed by someone they dont know about. there is already credibility among celebrities by just being celebrities. the downside though is that we shoulder the burden of paying high-cost products. :(
