If you can aford it, I would suggest getting one of each. Dogs are great protectors and great to have to walk with and play fetch and all of that. Cats are great also. They are nice for when you want to just chill and lay by you, and catch any pesky rodents you may have around. I have three dogs and three cats, and each one has their own personality that makes them unique, and make me so happy that I have them.

I love both my dog and cat dearly but they are so differnt it is hard to choose between them although it is harder to take the cat for a walk or out in the car, lol

I like dogs better. They are fiendly and naughty.

A dog will never enter your kitchen and drink the milk but the cat does this as soon as you are away. Dogs are faithful, so I like dogs better than cats.

Its not on the case that which is good... both are having their own qualities.. but these two have been in a record that most persons are using dogs and cats as their pets in this world.... congrats to both dogs and cats...

i love dogs. in india i hardly saw anyone who has a cat as pet. so i dont have much idea about cats but i just love dogs. they are so loyal.

dogs of course... some people consider that cats are vain and selfish and look down upon humans, while dogs are friendly, faithful and obey their masters like there's nothing in this whole world which could please them more. I think this opinion is correct. Dogs make better pets not only because they are faithful but they are cuter to look at, especially cute pups which resemble teddies. How can anyone not like cute puppies and dogs?

A dog is good for protection but they need companionship.If you work and aren't home much, they are not your best choice. A cat will do well on it's own, and depending on their nature can be good company or just a fixture. Siamese cats are good. They take on the personality of their owner.

i think we should keep dogs bcoz cats r not goin to secure ur house. cat is small that it is dificult for it self to be safe . a animal which cant safe itself how can it safe us , so its better to keep dog

Cats are nice outdoors if you live on a farm but I can't personally stand the smell of a litterbox. No matter if I cleaned it daily there always seemed to be an odor. Dogs are great for security, company, and will chase away animals that aren't supposed to be there. So I prefer dogs as a result.

I would admit that both of these creatures make amazing pets. In my opinion, if you are looking for a pet you can use dont go for a cat, a dog is a better choice. You will defenitely love dogs. Again, If you want a sweet cute looking creature hopping around a cat has no replacement. No matter which one you have, I like them both. I consider myself lucky to have a dog.
