you have lan connection or modem connection?

i have a lan connection and it is very fast as compare it with modem i have hear modem connection works very slow?is it true?

i have a local area network connection(lan)through the proxy of server which is so fast.

I have modem connection.my net is fast only.We have the speed variations when we take that connection only,I think for a single system the modem connection is very best.

no sweaty u heard it wrong modem connection runs faster then lan i too have lan connection its little bit slow by the by congrates u have reached 4oo points where the party

Although U have a lan connection there is certain type of modem connection behind it or U r service provider give the service through the lan card. But it is not increase U r internet speed. It is depend on the bandwidth, which U r service provider provides.
