My co-worker curses a lot and it bothers us so much. Her excessive swearing makes our office more like a ship deack. How can i ask her to tone it down without sounding like a prude?

Maybe you could talk to her in a casual tone you know.. and tell her.. actually not to swear so much.. it is just not good for the office environment.. say that of course most of us swear.. and it is allowed.. but not as much..
maybe say something like that?

thanks for the advice. i wish somebody could talk to her about it instead of me. but she's a close friend and everyone's expecting me to talk to her.

Have a curse jar. Everytime anyone swears and we all do at sometime, you must throw a quarter in the curse jar.
You can either donate the money to a charity or use it for an office party to buy pizzas or something.
You can always say you read about it on the internet and thought it would be a good idea. (and you wouldn't be lying either).

And you can have a really nice party - on her. And be sure to thank her for it. Good manners are important.
Good Night.

Mention to her that the boss doesnt like swearing, and she might tone it down. Mainly in fear of being on his/her bad side.. If that doesnt work, send an email (no name) and tell her that the office doesnt appreciate it.. something along those lines..
