Not sure if it is 8 cups however I drink water off and on all day. I take 2 bottles to work with me 1 for each plant I clean. They are warm and in the summer if it is 70 degress outside then it is 100 degrees in the plant. So water is necessary. I include in my daily liquid intake the tea, or pop, hot chocolate or milk that I might drink. There is such a thing as too much water and then if you are thirsty then you are already dehyrdrated to a bit. So drink as a habit and it will be enough.

I'm sitting here with a huge bottle of water as I type this. I try very hard to drink my water, but I don't have a natural thirst for it, and so I have to develop a thirst for water by just forcing myself to drink it.
When I do this, I find that the more water I drink the more I want, probably because my body had been deprived of it while I was drinking soda and other flavored drinks instead. Then it becomes very natural to me to drink water.
But then if I slip up and don't keep drinking it, I have to develop the thirst all over again. This is where I am now, trying to get it started again, because I know it's so much better for me to drink the water.

I have been telling myself to drink more water for a while now. Unfortunately it's coffee that I drink 8 cups a day of and my water intake is only at about 3-4 cups a day. To me, cold water can be refreshing on a hot day but otherwise I think it is boring. I wish that there was a tasty alternative that had the some great properties as water.

I drink that plus alot more. I'm trying to quit drinking soda, so I subsitute water now. I use to go through a 12 pack a day of diet pepsi. I can proudly say I have stopped completely and drink water all day long.

As a Natural Health Care Practitioner, the rule for water drinking is this...your body weight divided by two = the number of ounces needed.
That means water, not juice, or coffee, or tea, or sodas. Although these are fluids, they need to be digested and processed, in a way that water does not need to be.
Your body needs water to hydrate itself, and flush out toxins, wastes, and poisons through your kidneys and liver.
Give it a break, help it out!
For every cup of coffee consumed, you need another sixteen ounces of water...that's just an example...I could go on, and on. YOUR LIVER IS SCREAMING!!!
For those of you that hate water...learn to love it. It will save your life!

By the way...that means room temperature water, not cold. How would you feel, if someone threw a bucket of cold water on you?
...and drink it slowly throughout the day, not all at once. Think about a plant that's really dry, and you water it. The water runs right out of the pot. You will be running right to the bathroom.

Though water is tasteless but wen u r damn thirsty, u will find d same water to b tasty . U may drink juice or some soft drink at that time but ur thirst will remain, I have experienced this many a times wen I m out of my place. So i alwayz carry a bottle with me. Frankly speaking, I consume atleast 15-20 glass of water everyday, I m 25 but my skin speaks of 20 years .

I know the health benefits of water and have gotten used to forcing down 10 cups of water a day! I really don't like water, and it's an effort sometimes to drink it. You're right about the skin, though. The skin is the first place that dehydration (even slight dehydration) will show up. Your skin will be clearer and more radiant if you are drinking enough water, plus it will maintain its elasticity, making any lines and wrinkles less visible.

yes i drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. i love drinking water. i think i can consume up to 15 glasses of water. i stay up late at night because of school assignments and i drink about a liter or more of water just at night plus in the morning, afternoon and evening. i guess i am a water addict too.heheheh. but truly water helps make our skin supple and young. i also gets rid of toxins in our body through urine and sweat. and water helps burn our fats and lowers our cholesterol level. it also aids in digestion and help the good circulation of our blood. another important benefit of water is that it helps oxygenate the brain so we can think well, and perform well in school and in our works.

Drinking more water make the system clean.further it make the skin glow. in fact a person has to drink 3 litres of water a day. mostly people drinks half of it or even less. this also leads to diseases like gall bladder stone , malfunctioning of kidneys etc. It is better to drink natuiral water though it is very rare and unhygenic now. We do not know the health implications of the water purifired by ultra violet rays. make water therapy a habit and you will live long.

I drink a lot of liquids, not water though. I don't like the tastelessness of it.

Not every day, only sometimes when I remember I should drink 8 glasses of water, I force myself to drink it , but usually, I get busy with my work and forget. But I drink about 3 cups of tea during the day, does that count in drinking water, after all tea is also liquid like water.

I like your theory about water, I had heard it in the middle school from my biological teacher. He said everyone need to comsume at least 8 cups of water a day, not soup or some other drinkings. He really did it. When he tought us, he always took a big glasses that filled with water. And his voice was always very loud. His face kept a high color. Because of him, I like drinking water and jogging.

I definately drink at least 2 liters of liquid a day.
I say liquid instead of water as much of what I drink is diet pop with the remainder being milk.As of yesterday,I have switched over from diet pop to ice tea and hopefully start cleaning my body.

No I don't. Most of the waters make my stomach very upset. In fact it makes me miserable. When I can get good water I do but around here the tab water is nasty and the water from the bottles isn't much better. So for now I just drink it now and then.

Yes i do ..
I think .. I drink more than that !
I heard that drinking water increases our healthiness and skin also ..
What do it cost?? Nothing.. Why don't people drink when they know that it is healthy .. Many people suffer from dehydration .. because they don't drink enough water .. Water is essential for a human being to survive! It has many nutrients!!

I try to but I can't drink that much water. I would rather have juice or pop but I know I need more water I have just never liked it that much. But I can tell when my body needs it because I crave it sometimes and can't seen to get enough of it. :)
