Yes, Possesiveness is the true sign of Love. When u Love someone u think he/she is only urs. U can't share him/her. that is not a sign of insecurity that is a sign of Love. I'm very possesive about my life partner b'coz I Love him very much.

but if possessiveness is one-sided.. then the other partner may feel suffocated.. it may hamper relationship in the long run!!

possessiveness is anything but a sign of love! its a sign of a person that wants to control another and that is just wrong! a sign of true love is trust and if you are possessive then you have no trust.

I believe that possesiveness is a sign of love, at long as it's at a limit. Usually when someone is possisive they're scared that their loved one is going to go out and find someone else, or do something inappropriate, etc, etc. They may trust you, but what's going to be going through their head is WHAT IF..

i don't think that being possesive is a true sign of love rather it shows that u feel insecure about ur partner. if u love someone and if u r sure that he/she loves u in return then u don't need to be possesive. u know that the other person will not let u down and will not betray u so there is no need to be possesive , after all everyone has the right to live his/her own life and no one likes to be interfered in their lives.

when you commit yourself to a person, it doesn't mean you own him/her already..commitment doesn't mean ownership...and possessiveness is not synonymous to true love. and yes you are right, it is insecurity..
