would you opt for a surgical procedure to increase your height?

no. I would choose not to undergo operation to increase my height. I must admit that I am a short person (5'2") but I am not insecure at all. Although I often complain when I go to concerts and my taller friends make fun of my height, it's never been an issue to me. Being short has its advantages also! short people move faster than taller people! I compensate my shortness by being excellent in other things.

i'm inspired by your thoughts. indeed, it's not a bad thing to be short. i've known of many brilliant men and women who are short, too. thanks for responding.

yes, indeed, stretching exercises may help increase height. i did that when i was younger, and thinking about it, i wish my mom had me enrolled in ballet classes!

Personally I don't think I would ever go for surgery to correct something like that, but then again, I'm 5'5 (and 3/4's, lol) so I don't worry about my height. Perhaps shorter people would feel ashamed or have low self esteem because of this so I could understand why someone would want to do it. I just really don't like having surgery done, so unless it is absolutely necessary, I would never have it done.

lucky you! surgery is not an option for me, either, although i really could use some miracle height tablets! lol.
seriously, i'm just amazed at how far medical technology has gone in terms of this. but i heard increasing one's height through surgery is a very long and painful process, and i don't think anybody can get qualified just because they want to.
