Who invented writing?!

Who are the people who first invented writing?! The first "oldest" clay tablets found with certain incisions were way back in around 3,500 B.C...But what language was it written in?

generally speaking, the Sumerians were the first to write i believe. they were from ancient Sumer, which is near present day middle east, i think near jordan or syria or lebanon..
