Licquer Before Beer, Your In the Clear, Beer Before Licquer, Your even Sicker

Has anyone heard the expression "Licquer before beer your in the clear, Beer before licquer, your even sicker"? The ending varies between that and "you get sicker quicker." I heard it from one of my friends after a night where I drank a bunch of beer then started taking shots of whisky. I ended up beside the toilet and I'm pretty good for holding my alky. Another time me and my girlfriend split a 26er and then had a 12 pack afterwards and it was so nice, It got me more drunk, but not too drunk so it was uncomfortable or making me sick, and I didn't throw up. Also beer is so smooth after drinking hard licuqer. It goes down so smoothly and its quite refreshing. Have you heard that saying before? Or have you heard any other phrases such as that?
