do you keep old cards/letters from friends, lovers even if you already married?

Once a person marries, it is time to put away all those things you got from other lovers. the only reason to keep such nonsense would be to cause insecurity in your spouse. That is a lousy way to base a relationship. A little jealousy is good, but keeping cards, etc, from a previous relationship can cause a lot of jealousy and totally ruin a wonderful commitment.

yes i never used to throw it away or torn the letters, i always keep them safe, so whn u are rearrenging ur cupboards and u suddenly find the letters and cards....ur memories recharge and how u feel gr8 just imagine u find a letter from ur friend 10 yrs back, or when ur sis wrote u about how her toddeler sadi mom for the first time..... and the cards reminding u...like i miss u, forgive me!!!!! type.....its all gr8 to save them and read after few yrs.

Yes I still have letters from 15 years ago from all the girls in high school I dated. I like every now and then taking a look at them because its like a big flash back.

I always keep letters and cards even when I was younger and up to now that I am married except those things that come from my ex lovers. Before I got married I burned all those letters and cards. My marriage is another chapter of my life, my friends are still there but ex lovers? No. I do not need to keep their letters.

It's always nice to keep old mementos for future recollection. I still keep the cards from my friends even if we have ended our relationship/friendship. That way when the broken heart is mended I can go back to the cards and relish old memories. However because of the new technology--emails and ecards,I don't get so much cards anymore. But still give some to my close friends.
