I think it is because you know when you go there you always get the same cup of coffee regardless of who waits on you. I love Starbucks. I have tried local coffee houses and they just don't do it for me. I do get Starbucks cravings, but it doesn't happen often as I go there at least once a week.

I'm no fan of Starbucks Coffee, but I love coffee everywhere else. I love Starbucks peppermint hot chocolate.

I can't stand Starbucks coffee. I find it really too strong for my taste.

Regular Starbucks coffee is good simply because they use good beans, and train their staff an how to do make it properly. Any decent bean that is freshly ground with a decent burr grinder, freshly brewed with filtered water, kept hot in a thermos type system (and not left on a hot plate) will taste good if you use enough beans. I guess they realize if you make it well, people will come back for it :)

Starbucks does taste good, but I also think that Starbucks is also overrated. First off, they are too expensive. Second, they are on every corner of every street, lol you can laugh but it is almost true. Third, coffee shouldn't be more than 100 calories. Lol. I bought a white chocolate latte that had 490 calories. It had more calories than my breakfast. Starbucks should be done in moderation. :)
