Things you were scared of when you were a kid

I think every kid is a bit afraid of the dark, and the imaginary 'monsters'. I was one who always thought ahead, so I was afraid of being buried alive-LOL!

I was terrified that the building were we lived is going to crumble and me and my family are going to die in it.Very big fear that when I got married , we moved to a 2 story house,so the bedrooms are upstairs just in case anything should happen , the fireman would find us quickly.

When I was a kid I was always scared of the dark. Now I absolutely love the dark. I think the reason I feared the dark is because I used to watch horror films & they would end up making me all paranoid when I was ready to go to bed or just before I was ready to go to bed. I remember always liking the door being left open just so a little light from outside my room would shine through/in. I remember being scared of dolls in general because of a movie I had watched as a kid. It was about dolls coming to life & killing human-beings. It was actually called "Dolls" strangely enough. And I think this may have been the main reason as to why being alone in the dark would frighten me so much. I also feared clowns as a kid. I disliked the expressions on there face's. And even my parents ended up buying me a clown & had it sitting in my room on a chair.. And late at night was one I would fear clowns the most I had found.. I used to always bring the covers up to my nose when it was time for me to go to sleep.. & I'd look around the room all of the time.. Thinking that this clown who was sitting on the chair.. Would eventually come to life.. And would start to attack me or come slowly walking over wanting to kill me. haha. The thought of it now since I am much older makes me chuckle. Another thing that I find that helps to tie in to why I was scared of the dark is.. I feel I was also scared of the unknown. Sometimes I'd walk down the hallway within the house I'd hear a creaking somewhere.. & automatically my mind would make up things such as.. Some guy from the horror films I watched would jump out any second because he was coming to get me. Or take me away to his secret lair. haha. Or that some ghost was watching over me & trying to communicate to me or something. It's funny how certain things tend to scare you more when your a kid. You can't help but look back at how you used to be, or what used to scare you.. And you can't help but question why you we're scared of these things. But I think we all had silly things we we're scared of when we we're kids. In conclusion.. Now to this very day the things that used to scare me as a kid are the things I love now at this point in my life. It's funny how that ends up working out. How the things you we're once scared of, grow on you as you grow older. Sometimes that fear as well though.. Ends up staying with you as well. I think a lot of people end up having these fears all of there life's just because of what they may have experienced when they we're younger. I kind of miss those days of fearing these things though in a way.. I know that must sound silly, but sometimes.. I wish I would have enjoyed certain points of my childhood more than I had.. When I was a child I was afraid of the moon. My dad said I would always cry and say that the moon was going to get me. He told me that the moon was there to watch over me and protect me. I was also afraid of the washing machine. I don't even know why.

When I was a kid, I used to scare with matches. This was because that time I was playing with matches, accidentally, it lights up, my hands got burned. I kept on crying until I told myself that I will never use to hold matches again. But now, somehow, I got over with this scaring stuff.
