It is very important to backup the files I have 2 experience of lost of data. So this is the reason why I urge all of the mylots people to backup all you important data. The first time is where my files loss due to failure of the ram. This actually cause my window to crash and I lost all my files and assignment and it due on the next day. I have to start again from scratch and I barely manage to finish it.
The second incident is where my harddisk crash and I lost 10 gig of my files ( movies , personal files and including assignment. ). This time is slightly better because I was lucky and I had saved my earlier version of files on flash drive.
The moral story is to backup important files that you created right away or create a system where you sync your files with a server. That why when your hard disk crash you still have a backup of all you current work on a server. you don't need to lost all files just because of hard disk failure.
Other than sycn server , external harddisk , flash drive, and DVD storage is also a good idea of storing stuff .

Yes I'm totally agree with you, making backup of your data is very very necessary, even if you just do it every a month. I usually backup my data also, even it is not an important data, just data that I download from the internet, I usually backup up it on a CDR, beside it's makes your data more safe, it also can reduce your harddisk diskspace usage.

yeah , good idea. I have external harddisk now and I backup all my files in external and internal. I never delete them both if it important files. you never know which one of the harddisk will fail.

Thanks for the reminder about backing up our data. I lost a whole lot of stuff once when my computer crashed and I didn't keep it backed up.
