Dreams deal with emotions that is a common knowledge. If emotions get a let out by way of discussion, anger or tears, you do not dream about them but when you suppress some emotions you express them as a dream. Symbols seen in dream are borrowed from the recent events or occurences. The feelings in the dream are usually an exaggeration of feelings from the real-life issue which caused the dream.REM sleep is the best biological condition for dreaming but dreams may occur any time during sleep brain is less responsive to external inputs while sleeping, engaged instead with internally generated input. external influences can effect dreams. For example, alarm clocks and telephone noises can be incorporated into dreams, as can inputs originating in the body but outside the nervous system, such as the need to use bathroom. the brain in not completely unresponsive to external eventsThe extent that external activity modifies dreams is difficult to ascertain because the person is often woken up by any external activity.

most dreams have no meaning... Eclesiastes 5:7
But some dreams are ways of God's communication to us.

Eclesiastes 5:7 Does not say anything about dreams having no meaning. It refers to vanity, it refers to dreams and lots of talking, refering to daydreams and bragging = vanity. The verse is telling you to be careful with what you say or promise to God, dont let your mouth lead you into sin.
The Bible actualy says in Acts 2:14-21 that God speaks to us through dreams and visions

Sorry to say this but you're wrong with your points..
1. I did not say that Dreams have no meaning.. What I said is that "most" dreams have no meaning..
2. You're wrong with your notion that what Eccle. 5:7 notion of "vanity" refers to bragging. What Eccle. 5:7 refers to "vanity" there is VAINNESS (synonyms are: futility, emptiness, uselessness, pointlessness, worthlessness, hollowness). Please do brush up on your vocabulary.
3. The Latin Vulgate clearly manifests the vanity on most dreams.
4. Our Bible, "Ang Biblia" is directly translated from the Latin Vulgate. And if you're very much acquainted with our vernacular, It is clearly Stated there that there are much vanities in most dreams... Or to re-state it, "Most dreams have no meaning".
Here is what is stated in the "Ang Biblia":
Sapagkat sa karamihan ng mga panaginip ay may walang kabuluhan, at sa mga maraming salita; ngunit matakot ka sa Dios. -- Eclesiastes 5:7
It's also what is stated on the Latin Vulgate:
ubi multa sunt somnia plurimae vanitates et sermones innumeri tu vero Deum time -- Ecclesiastes 5:7 (5:6)
5. I am answering the person who posted this topic, "Kimtrix". And not just any person. He is a Filipino, so i'm answering him by presenting him the translation of the Bible in our vernacular. I bet he could very much understand what I am saying and what is stated on the very verse that we are talking about.
6. I never argued that "All" dreams have no meaning. The fact that I stated that "some dreams are ways of God's communication to us" attests to that.
Thanks...

Well I have been reading up alot about dreaming because I have been having a reaccuring dream. The best advice that I can give you from what I have read is that dreams are just your subconcious acting out your fears or wants. I dont believe it is a future telling, its just basically whats been on your mind acting out. Hope this helps.
