boy friends usually give a gift on Valentine's Day and whatever the gift is, immaterial of its monetary worth, it does make you feel good, loved and cherished. it's all to do with the heart, right?
but how many husbands do give a gift to their better half on Valentine's Day, i wonder. mine never does, boo hoo, so sad, huh! never mind, does your husband give, and make you feel special, even with a red rose? that's enough to make you feel on top of the world!
so, tell me how all you married gals celebrate Valentine's Day with your husband.
thanks

My husband and I used to always exchange gifts on Valentines day, but, we have decided not to anymore. We think it's more sensible to save our money for something more worthwhile that could be for the house. Or to go out to a nice dinner together. I told him not to waste money on roses or anything like that. It's a made up holiday designed to make husbands and boyfriends guilty, and card companies rich.

We usually go out for dinner and he gives me gifts and always there is a very sweet card that he writes some poetry in for me. This year however we are having money problems so we may not be able to do the whole gift thing, but I know I can still expect that card he always gets me. He likes to just leave it somewhere for me to find. He never just comes up and hands it to me, so it is a wonderful suprise. He has left me to fix breakfast and I wake up with the card next to me on his pillow.

My husband used to buy me Valentines gifts, but, not anymore. We would rather spend our money on something more useful. Besides, it's just a made up holiday to benefit the florists and card companies. We love each other all the time, and don't need a day to tell each other.

My husband and I celebrate our anniversary on February 16th every year, which makes Valentine's Day get overlooked a little bit.
A few years ago my husband bought me flowers on like the 10th of February just because, then a few days later bought Valentine's Day flowers and then Anniversary flowers ... my desk at work was covered with flowers and it was a little over the top! I still loved it even though I know the anniversary flowers were more of a joke then anything.
Most years we celebrate our anniversary and Valentine's Day together and go to a hotel for a weekend. It's really quite nice and I look forward to it every year!

BTW, I think the first batch of flowers I received were the most special ... he wasn't "obligated" to buy them, he just did to make me feel loved.

My husband and I really beleive that V-day has become so materialistic, roses prices go up that day , just to make 500% profit , it's just crazy,so we agreed after our first V-day (7 years ago) that never again. We'll exchange something after or before , specially that our anniversary comes a month later , so it's really no biggy .

Yes, my husband alwqys gives me a Valentine gift. It might be flowers one year and candy the next. Sometimes he gives me something I have been wanting like a book or other item. He has never missed and that goes for birthdays and anniversaries too. He is very thoughtful and caring.

My husband always gives me something. We don't have much money, so he will just get me a card and maybe some flowers. I usually get him a card and a little trinket to put on his desk at work. We also get our kids cards and a small amount of chocolate.

my husband gave me a silver heart pendant the first valentines we were together... we were dating. after that it was hit or miss until our kids got to be in school, I always got my husband and the kids a card and heart for valentines day. one year my youngest son looked at me as they were all opening theirs and said "Mommy doesn't anybody love you??" and my husband felt like dirt.. he hasn't forgotten a valentines since..now I get the big 5 pound heart!! ( he eats all the candy though) lol

Yes my hubby does. Valentines is his favorite holiday. I have been spoiled from a portable dishwasher to flowers.
