With the release of the expasion it is hard to fathom the death of WoW but there is alot of people out there saying that WoW is going to die within the next year. I personally think that it will still be alive for another couple of years. What do yall think?

There's a lot more coming for World of Warcraft so it's not likely it'll "die" next year or on the following years to come. They still have lots to unravel as far as the storyline and plot is concerned. There are still numerous questions left unanswered and lots of things and places to discover. One example is the long awaited "Northrend" Expansion and "The Great Sea" Expansion. And if the idea on World of Warcraft is somewhat opening and travelling through different dimensions then I believe there's a lot more than exploring Azeroth and Outland.

it wont die out for a long time. halo hasnt, madden hasnt, so many others havent either. WoW has done better than all im sure, there is no way this will die out. even if it does, WoW's "die out" will still leaving many playing due tyo how many play as it is now, and more and more are joining and joining.

I think it will actually expand rather than "die out." It has the right mix of "easy" and "challenging," and "solo" and "group" endeavors to keep everyone entertained -- from the casual player to the most hard core raider.

well yes i agree with you but there are much more things to go with that, there are points that do agree that WoW will be gone in a year but there are also many that say other wise. for instance the new mmo that will be comming out here by next year (2007-2008) Warhammer will be throwing the classic gamming styles of WoW and others into an all out MMO experience (being able to gain exp by killing other players is a key one) but, one of the key facts that wow isent dieing is that the ammount of people that are playing it has doubbled in the past two months (not pointing out that afew people from wow will be going to Warhammer) but i will say that WoW will be around for more years to come (4-5 more) but less people will be playing it all together.

It won't die. Even if the numbers decline, they're still gunna be earning loads and some people only take a break (such as myself) for a few months, then return.
I still play WC3 and so do alot of people...I don't see it going anytime soon.
If they really did get in trouble, I'm sure taking down the sub fee would keep ti alive.

I seriously doubt it will die anytime soon. Not only is blizzard an awesome company (Mac support is awesome) but they are really good at supporting the game the website is awesome and got me up and playing in no time. This is the first MMORPG that I've played and while I don't utilize everything that it has to offer (like macros and some of the more complex Addons you can get) I honestly thought that it would be way more complicated than it is, having seen my friends play EQ and AO and other similar MMORPG. I'm also surprised to see the graphic quality (looks great on my 1.5GHz G4 Mac Mini :)) I'm glad to see than when you hit something you actually hit it in the animation unlink AO where it would say you hit the enemy but the animation was clearly a miss, just a small think I know but still it's nice to know they can get the small things right.
