I am a christian, and must say that you should have faith in something weither it is god or whatever it is, I would think it is lonley to go through life alone.

I was a mainstream Protestant Christian, but have recently changed over to Messianic Judaism. Basically, I worship the Messiah, but from a Jewish perspective, and see the Old and New Testament as flowing and completing each other perfectly, and as being really one testament, the redemptive plan of Yahweh (G-d, in Hebrew). Also, I have traded in things like Christmas and Easter, for Channukah (spelling?) and Passover.

With 19 major world religions divided into 270 large religious groups and some smaller ones....34,000 of those being differing Christian groups alone...I would think you have the potential for a lot of responses! ;) (wink)
After studying religions (some - I am not well-versed in them as some people are) for a few years, I find that people try so hard to get themselves to conform to a "prescribed religion that seems to fit their thoughts best" that they lose the bigger picture and reason for seeking peace to begin with. I think long before any religious divisions even enter the picture we are all connected on much deeper levels...we seek to "belong" and understand the world around us but at the same time inflicting even further divisions upon ourselves, sometimes BECAUSE of the religion we choose.

religion is difficult to defien. in the strict sense of the word, there is judaism. all who are jews have judaism as their religion. and those who are non-jews, are only bound by the 7 moral laws. they are called Bnei Noach or noachides. they can also add to their list some other allowed rituals and mitzvahs of Judaism. better to consult orthodox rabbi before doing anything

Another atheist here ... no religion. I was raised roman catholic however .. so I had one once upon a time, but discarded it by the time I was 20, spent a few years proclaiming myself agnostic, and finally adopted the atheist label completely about 3 years ago.
