I recently found out I was pregnant, and immediately quit smoking... which was much easier than I expected. But I worry about starting up again after the baby is born, because of the amount of stress that is involved with a newborn. Has anyone had this dilema and how did you handle it?

I never had a smoking problem, but my husband did. Right when he found out that i was pregnant he stopped smoking. He didn't want me to get 2nd hand smoke, or the baby to get it either. He never started back, b/c of the fact that he didn't want the baby around smoking. Plus the baby can inhale smoke from your clothes, hands, ect. And we both didn't want that. Have you tried using the patches? Think about the baby!!!

My husband also stopped when we found out. I am afraid because I will have most of the pressure on me since he works nights, the baby will be with me just about 100% of the time. I know they say patience comes with motherhood, but I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
