I have an 11 year old son, I have been HomeSchooling him for a year now and noticed his handwriting isnt improving when he was in school the teacher never brought it to my attention and I always thought it would improve in time, but it hasnt. He has terrible handwriting, the letters ar all different sizes, they start up and down, he don't do the proper spacing. I make him practice, I make him redo it pointing out the mistakes but he does it over and over again. What can I do?

He does read alot of books, I have even made him write his opinions about the book to try to improve his skills especially if it is a book he loves. He just keeps making the mistakes. Thanks for the comment

best thing to do is go back to basics like they would do in early school years when they learn to write letters and numbers and relearn to write properly he probably wont like the idea but thats the best way to do it i think i never learnt joint up handwriting in school i hated it it was even more of a mess than print but since leaving school i tend to only write in block capitals i dont know why though but then i dont write much i type these days.
