Rex Grossman's first year at quarteback for the Florida Gators was in 1999. The year before Grossman began his time at Florida, the Gators used two starting quarterbacks; Doug Johnson played in 10 games for the Gators in 1998 and threw for 2346 yards and 19 touchdowns. Jesse plamer who later found fame on "The Bachelor" played in 6 games for the Gators and thrw for 1246 yards and 14 touchdowns.
