Software Testing

Hi All
I am a software Tester and i would like to say that in a MNC software company , the Number of testers should be larger in quantity when compared to the developers, as it would lead to assure quality products, and the Time spent to Test a System(software) should be more when compared to development.
I would like to welcome comments and like to discuss this topic with my fellow My Lotters

I would really like to see bug-free software coming onto the market.
It is irritating when a program crashes for no reason that I can find.
Windows is the worst that I have found. I know it is a very large program but it has been running now for ages (I still have a copy of Windows v1.0 on floppies!) and should be bug free or flexible enough for other programs to use it without crashing.
Refresh my memory - is MNC machine tool software?
