What do you want to be when you grow up?

I'm not talking about winning the lottery or coming upon some other windfall, I'm not talking about having a lucky break or say, being picked up by some talent agent while you're slinging burgers at McD's. What I want to know is, what is your life goal, aspiration, your desires for your future? I want to know what you want to be when you grow up, how you will know when you've achieved your goals and what it will mean to you. I want to know what dreams you have that you are ready and willing to pour your heart and soul into, and not to mention your blood sweat and tears. Maybe some of you have never thought about it. Maybe some have and haven't considered it within your realm of possibility. If this is the case, what do you think is holding you back? Is it something within you or something within "the system"? Maybe some of you have already achieved those goals... In any case I'd love to hear them all. I think far too many people have dreams for themselves that they just don't believe they can achieve. Maybe we can inspire each other here! As for myself, I do have a dream, and there are many facets to it. Ever since having my two beautiful children I've had a great interest in the healthcare field. My dream for myself is to one day be either a Nurse-Practitioner or a midwife, and to open a family center for families from all walks of life. I want to create a place for moms, dads and their young ones to come and have fun and more importantly to have that adult interaction and support that I see many parents really needing in their lives. I know there are many places like this already... I just don't think there are enough and I don't think they are nearly accessible enough, especially to lower income families. So... I'm starting the long road by upgrading one of my high school courses and then I plan on doing distance ed for my nursing studies. I am really excited!
