The Benefits of Adding Friends at MyLot

I too have also found that adding friends adds to my discussions getting responded to alot more. I have been trying to add friends that seem to like the same stuff that I am interested in and people that have topics that I like to discuss.

I started few days ago here at mylot so I was wondering what were the benefits of having friends. Thanks for the advice!

Quantity of friends is not as important to me as the quality. Those that respond are worth it, but others just want answers to their own posts and don't care about yours. I weed out my friends list alot. If I find that one of my friends never answers one of my posts while I have been busting my but to answer them, they are soon deleted

I am also new here and the advices that you guys have really lit a bulb on my head on what to do to increase earnings. So the more friends that you have, the more money. I hope my friends will sign up. Another thing that I found helpful is just checking my friends discussions and responding to them than going thru a lot of discussions looking for something that would interest me. Nice discussion guyz! Kudos to all!

This is a good post, but I don't necessarily agree. When I first started, I started getting all these friend requests, and I was adding a bunch. Then when I looked at some of the discussions they had stated, I noticed that they did not align with my values, or perhaps they were 3 word questions, etc. so I deleted a ton of them. Now if I get a request I seriously consider it before adding.

Hi. I just joined today so I am not sure how all of this works. Still learning. I have been replying to new discussions all day so far today. How do you make more money by adding friends? Sorry I'm new to all of this. I know you make more by referring new people but how do you eanr more by adding friends to your list? well honeslty you are right but since i have friends on my list but just few of them answer to my posting, but maybe because i cant answer all of them in one set on my computer.

I add friends so that i can post on their discussions and so i can give my opinion.. sometimes you can meet great people that way.. plus it helps also if they post on yours that way with you posting theirs and them posing on yours you are helping each other out..

I too think this only as a benifit and yes, there are other benifits too. But here is less benifit to make real money. But in future some times there will be any use... And thanks for this piece of info so that i too become more sure that what i think about is true.

Yes, I find that most of my friends will respond to my questions. Those that don't I will send a message to very soon, and remind them that this is a two way street.

I didn't understand how importnat the friend system was here at first, either. But now I definitely do. When I had almost no friends here, I had a really hard time getting replies to new topics that i posted. But the more people that i got to know and them ore that i replied to their discussions, the more friends I made, and the more people there are who will reply to my topics now, which helps my topics to reach the hot topics of the day page where they will then get more and more replies. If you want to start topics of your own ,having friends here at Mylot is _crucial_. Otherweise it's just the luck of the draw if you can even get a new topic noticed! *laugh* ^_^

I am new to mylot now and I dont have evn a couple of friends.I am starting to understand the importance of friends and the discussions with them.Thanks for giving the advice about adding friends.It is more probable to receive responses from friends than others and hence making money and also some new friends.I still did not add many so I dont have any experience of having benefits.

i have not been here long and only have a few friends. they are all poeple that i have responded to . i didnt know you made money from responses. thanks for the info.

I have found it beneficial to add friends to mylot because i have plenty of people to reply to their discussions. I also seem to have more people reply to my discissions because i've got quite a few friends.

Yes i agree with you, I think adding friends to your profile helps you getting responses for your discussions. However , this should not be abused. We should not go ona dding people at random. I add guys to my friends list when their interests are similar to mine / I like their discussions.But I have seen that adding more friends to your list increases your popularity and gets you reponse for all your discussions.

I'm only adding friends that have the same interests as me, so that we'll read each other's posts a lot more. It's possible there could be some negatives to having "too many" friends on your list, but I'm not sure.
