Why cricket is favoured than other sports in India

Majority of the public in India are favouring cricket only.They do not watch other sports and the media also is focussing and spending lot of money for cricket and cricketers only.this in many ways spoil and brings a decline of other sports.I also think this is the reason why that indians are not performing in other sports.what do you think?

i think the game is so intresting and requries not only physical strenght but also mental strength indians are just crazy about cricket

yes the game is really intresting and Indians are good in one sport only which makes it even more intresting.
