The Car of Tomorrow

What do you think of the car of tomorrow? I've heard drivers say they love it and some say they hate it.
They have changed the whole car made it bigger and it's supposed to be safer. But the cars are all going to be so much alike that it's really going to tighten up the field which is going to cause a lot more accidents. It's been said that the field is going to be so tight now that the win record is really going to go down. It will now be good to have 50 wins... yeah 50! Earhardt and Gordon almost (or already have) tripled that and they will be the last to do so. The top runners are there because they worked their butts off, now they are making it easier for all the rookies to win... is that fair?

As you said in our other discussion, this will be the monkey wrench in everyone's season. It will definitely make the season interesting.
That being said, I think it will make racing better. The sleek cars they are driving now don't allow racing to be as interesting as it was in years past. How many races have there been where one car hit the set-up and others were struggling? Too many. The cars were too touchy when it came to adjustments. If they looked more like the actual cars, they'd cut a bigger whole in the air and be less picky.
As for the drivers, they've hated every change NASCAR has made. They'll adjust. It's the new rules, get used to it. They will be safer. I know Michael Waltrip, for one, will be glad because there's more head room.

The drivers who are complaining about it are the older drivers, the ones who like it are the younger ones like Kurt Bush. I'm wondering if the older ones are just set in their ways and that's what their problem is with it. I agree the 2.5" will make a difference for the taller drivers.
So you are saying you think this will make racing go back to like the old stock car races? That would be fun! I have the Nascar DVD series and I love watching the old races, I'm too young to remember any of them though! I'm really interested in how this will change things, hopefully not so predictable. So who is the driver(s) you like?

Oh, man after my own heart! I can not stand Earnhart, I too pull for anyone but him! I'm a diehard Gordon fan, but I love racing so much that when he's not a contender I will pull for others. I was really hoping Mark would win the championship last year. He just pulled at my heart (the girly part of me coming out, lol)I like Kenseth too, he's a good driver.
I think a lot of the good drivers don't get a chance to prove how good they are because of messing with setup on the cars. I hope that what you say is really how it goes.
