If u want your response to be the best, then always do respond under the no responses section, since there is a probability that the user would select your response as the best, and also do write quality replies and discussion, so that other users are really happy from your response and they mark u as the best response, no secret behind this, its straight forward. hope my suggestion has helped u.

Everybody has their own opinion of what the best response should be. You might want to try and find friends that share the same views as you do. I'm not really sure if that will help but it may increase your chances of earning the best response.

Good day to you. When I look for best responses to my discussions I am looking for the response that best satisfies me the one that started the discussion. Because we have the option to rate each response I don't feel bad for leaving someone out of the best response. They will still get a positive rating if they added to the discussion. If they just add nothing I give them a negative. If I start a discussion about fly fishing in Canada and I get a lot of I like fishing responses I note that they have not really added to the conversation or discussion. On the other hand if someone responses and tells me they fish here and there and use this type of fly. Well they have added to the discussion in a positive manner and if that is the best response I get they get best response. Hope that helps.
