Best Beaches - U.S.

Looking for thoughts on what you feel is the best, most romantic beach area you have been to in the U.S. I have been to the East coast of Florida, and don't enjoy any of the beaches, although absolutely love the Key West life..wish the beach was better. Are they great in California? Actually I really like the beaches in southern NJ, but want something that is year-round warm and romantic.
