My mom said that I should feed my son some avacado. I don't know how to pick the right one though. What are you supposed to look for when buying one?

Depending on how soon you want to feed them to him, be sure to choose soft avacados! ;) Those are the RIPE ones and they are ready to eat. heheh. I love avacados! yum! good luck. how old is your son?

I don't buy these very often, they are fattening. The few times I have bought them the produce person picked them for me. I was told they need to soft so you can prepare them right away. If you want them a few days later get them not so soft but never buy them hard. Not sure how long it takes for them to ripen if they are hard.
