Last year my parent went to new zealand with my brother and sister, and i was left here because of uni - which is understanadble as i have a girlfriend here and mates. My only grief is that i have to fly out there on my own, has anyone else had something like this where there family is in another country but your alone here?

Yup, I went to England back in the 1960s and left my family behind. I was there for six years. Fortunately I was able to build up friendships with the people around me.
Flying to New Zealand isn't that big a deal: people do it all the time. What's your concern?

Main concern is having to go from one plane to another, worrying thoughts of missing it and being stuck in america or asia, also my suitcase - what if they go missing during the transer - i know there silly things but ive only been on a plane once in my life and that was to Crete. New Zealand is a 2 day trip, i look forward to the utter bordom lol. Hope i sit next to someone old traveller dude with lots of cool stories.
