Have just heard the news on Earnshaw, what an absoulte disaster!
Now that we have lost out top (and pretty much only) goalscorer are we now destined to get sucked into a relegation battle? i think with our very leaky defence this is a distinct possibility.
I'd love people veiws of who we should replace him with, or if you hear of any rumours. Do we have enough money do buy a new striker or should we introduce the youth strikers - after all surely the academy that produced Sutton, Bellamy and Green is capable of producing something? Does anyone know about our youth players as they never seem to get mentioned in the same sentence as say, southamptons' Bale.
Oh yeah what does anyone know about the new striker and 'keeps we've got - is chris brown anygood and do we need a new permenant keeper (as we're on number 4 this season already)

whats happened to Earnshaw? if they've lost him that could be a problem, suppose their best bet would be to try and get someone on loan if he's going to be out for a long time, maybe one of West hams strikers as they will need to be getting rid of some players at the rate their buying.
Southampton have put a lot of money into their youth team in the last 5-10 years which is why they are now starting to produce the likes of Theo Walcott and Gareth bale, only problem is that we can't seem to keep them (WILL EVERYONE STOP TRYING TO BUY BALE! WE NEED HIM!!), if Norwich don't have any decent youngsters its probably due to a lack of investment

Hi smugg,
Earnshaw managed to pull his groin in training the other thursday, An injury similar to the one Rob green (where the muscle comes away from the muscle i think) did when he was playing for Englang in that B international before the world cup.
Ps. i heard today Man united are offering £10million for him - do u think he's worth that much at such a young age?

I remeber that green injury, looked increadibly painful.
Bale definately has considerable talent for a 17 year old but he is certainly not the finished article yet and wouldn't get into the man Utd team. I hope he stays because i think it will be better for his career as he will be getting regular first team football which he wont at Man utd. I'm sure in 3 or 4 years time he will be worth a lot more than £10m, which i guess is why Man utd are trying to get him now. Lets just hope he stays
