Is "partying" worth it?

Inspired by a former post on smoking!! Since I have come to university I have seen students abuse alcohol and drugs, smoking, never sleeping, drinking too much caffeine, etc. and I myself have done many of these things that are bad for you. I asked many of my friends a hypothetical question; Even if all your partying in your youth took off 5 years of your life would you still do it. The Approximate hypothetical math: For Canada women 82-5=77 men 77-5=72 Most of my friends say they didnt care and partying was worth it. I think it is worth it but I also know I'm going to stay in shape and hopefully can increase the 72 a little bit higher!!!!!!

going out getting drunk, having parties etc is all part of what being a student is about, its a chance to experiment and do things you know you will not be able to do when we enter the real world. i think it would be worth it, what can i do between the age of 72 and 77? nothing other than play a bit more golf, i'd rather properly live life now than sit around doing nothing just so i can live a few more years. This i why i am on here at 2am because the pubs have closed and i need money for the next pint, i finish uni in 2 months so got to make the most of the little time i have left
