You might search on the term "hippotherapy" and see what you can find in your area. I don't know what training is required to do it, but a stable near me in Kentucky does it. They too report sometimes dramatic effects. Good luck! I think that's an admirable program.

Where are you from? Here in NJ, there are a ton of therapy programs, always looking to train new volunteers. Horses do amazing things for the body and the brain. The was an autistic boy who came for lessons at the stable I used to board at, every week he began to communicate more and more, it was so sweet to see the smile on his face when he arrived and saw the horses! I would check and see if you state has an equine related website with a directory, see what's out in your area!
