cousins inlove..allowed or not?

i was sitting at the cafeteria a while ago and i cant help but overheard two gals talking about a very contentious topic- a guy and a girl-1st cousins and lovers. I've heard several similar stories of cousins falling inlove, some even went too far that they got married and have children.I have'nt encountered a law that prohibit such a relation but I cant help but wonder, has society accepted this kind of relationship? if not, are we suppose to condone these persons who enters such a relation or should we condemn them? give me a piece of your mind..

yes its less common in western countries but its a norm in Asia and other countries in that region. Marriage between cousins is allowed and its not seen as any awkward thing in those regions. I am not sure but in western countries I have heard and read about girl and boy in relationship who are cousins but its not seen favorably here. Not sure about the reason though.
