Yes I agree, just like Christmas, Valentines Day is a chance for commerical industries to make lots and lots of money, it's all centred around money. A few days after Christmas already in shops there were Valentines cards, and hearts. I don't celebrate Valentine's day to me it's just another day. There shouldn't be an excuse like Valentines Day to buy our loved ones a gift, why need a excuse to treat your loved one to flowers, a gift or a meal in restaurant to say you love them?

I don't need the Holidays to buy gifts for my friends or love ones. I give gifts even there's no holiday just to show my appreciation or love. You are right, the Holiday is too commercialized now. Nowadays, people think its necessary to give gifts in every occasion or Holiday. Even kids now they expect to receive something everytime there's a Holiday. They missed the point that being together and being loved is the most important gift of all.
