Do i really need COOKING LESSONS? / myLot

My mom is pressuring me about cooking. She wants me to learn how to cook because that will come in handy when i get married. Easy right? I just need a cook book and i'm all set. I have used a cook book because i love baking. But for cooking do u think i need lessons for that? I know how to read cook books. That's fine right? I did cook before, i just dont feel the need yet since we have a cook at home. Should i be worried?

Your mom just wants what is best for you. She thinks that when you get married it would be easier if you already know how to cook rather than just starting to learn. However, it is your own choice whether you want a cooking lessons or not. For me, a recipe is enough therefore no need to take lessons

Cook books are good to learn cooking as you go ..no need for real lessons in cooking unless you want to make a career out of it :) but it might help to kind of train yourself sometimes even if it's not needed now.
