This scene is replicated many times on the frist day of classes: A preschooler wails and clings to hismother to protest being left alone with strangers in the unfamiliar place that is school. Unable to convince her child that school is fun, the parent struggles to part ways with the chold. There is more sobbing, wailing and screaming until the parent is able to leave, and both mother and child are upset. Is your child happy and ready for school?
