Route 66 , The Mother Road, Have You drove it?

Yes, I have made the drive on Route 66 from the Midwest and have been at the end of Route 66 at the pier in Santa Monica, CA. For the past 17 years I have lived 8 blocks from the Old Route 66 as it runs through my town in Kingman,Az. In fact, I drive on this historic route every time I go to the market or doing my various errands. From Kingman it runs south and up into the mountain to (and through)an old mining town called Oatman. The town is a favorite tourist stop along this famous route....and the town is known for their wild Burros that roam the streets. Tourist get a kick out of buying feed that is available to feed the Burros. Every year in this area they have an event called The Route 66 Run, it draws a large number of car clubs that come to drive the historic route in their collectible cars...it draws a lot of people and some terrific cars to view.
