Why do people talk, its the same thing dogs cant talk so they bark...
Barking is their means of communication...
Have fun!!!! Cheers!!!!

just as we talk and make all these sounds, i believe that barking is one way a dog communicates with fellow dogs and a way of trying to communicate to us. sometimes they bark to get our attention or sometimes they try to fend off some strangers. it is not known however, how complex this barking communication of dogs is and if it shared or complemented by body language which also tells a lot if you carefully observe a dog's behavior. meantime just bear with your dog's barking and try to figure out what it really tries to say

Well I have to say because they don't know how to meow lol . Actually dogs generally bark to warn you that someone is around , that is why they make such good protectors . They have such a strong sence of smell and can hear far better then we can so they can hear things that are quite aways away .
