mikey hasnt left linkin park at all. rest assured. fort minor is not a band but a side project of mike. Shinoda explained the project as a way for him to return to his hip-hop roots. he had stated that the goal for the project was to create music while having fun with his friends. he said, "It's called Fort Minor instead of my name because there are a bunch of other people involved in the project. But I only wanted to work with family and friends; people that I feel are really close to me and we see eye-to-eye." Fort Minor is a rap ensemble and a side-project by Mike Shinoda. They feature Shinoda primarily alongside hip hop ensemble Styles of Beyond, as well as a number of other notable guest artists. that way even Chester Bennington has revealed to be working on a solo project of his own. they are already going to release their album shortly. In an interview the band almost revealed the name of the new album. Chester said it will be titled T... and T..., a fill in the blank puzzle.

yes linin park were great and mike is a great singer as is chester. his other band is not doing as well and isnt as well known as linkin park, therefore i would love to see linkin park get back together even to make just 1 more album, because there music is top quality
