I like laptops more than desktops.
But when it comes to work, I would still prefer desktops...

Although it is undeniably true that desktops are much cheaper I still would love to have a laptop because I can take it anywhere with me.
My desktop is very old now and pretty soon I hope I could buy a replacement--the acer laptop.
The only thing that I don't like with laptops is that you have to be in the right angle to get a good view of the screen especially if you're watching a movie, otherwise the people in the picture would look like ghosts.

Desktops still rules for me. i can put in a lot of hardware i want especially large capacity hard drives, multiple cd/dvd drives, and a lot more. it is also more convenient whenever playing online mmorpg. the only thing that works very well with me for having a laptop is i still get to used a pc wherever i go for work. even if i'd like to bring along with me my desktop i can't i have modded my pc and its really a big one and heavy. check out the links:

Yes, desktops are cheaper but Laptops are really more preferable for it is portable and it won't eat a lot of the space of your room..

I personally like desktop because desktop were much more powerful and cheaper compare to laptop. That is why they use it as a work station as work. Computer are very expensive and the company do not change all of their computer at once. They will change one department computer every year and the next department on second year using rotation style, It is cheaper method this way and their computer won't be too out dated. It is very expensive to change all at once and I know there are discount if you buy in bulk but those company don't have enough cash just to change all department computer every year.
Since laptops much more expensive than desktop , those small companies do not provide them. normally it is employee who provide their own laptop if they feel it is much more comfortable using it laptop instead. The only advantage laptop have is portable feature and that it.
