I loved the first and second Fall Out Boy album, but I cannot stand their new song... Something about an arms race is the name I think. Has anyone else heard this? Did you like Fall Out Boy before? Do you like their new song?

yeah.. the new song's weird. i thought their whole album followed the same trend, but it turned out to be a great album! I liked it better than the previous one. I enjoyed "Thriller", "The Take Over, The Break's Over" and "Hum Hallelujah".

Aw...I LOVE that song! I got FOB's album (Under the Cork Tree) at Christmas time and fell in love with the band. I think "This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race" is a catchy tune. I crank it every time I hear it. Can't wait to get the new CD!

My head must be in the clouds or something. I've never even heard of them before? I generally only listen to country music, though, or whatever I hear on The Disney Channel. Sometimes they have groups play in between cartoons, especially if it's a song that was featured in one of their movies.

I had the same reaction at first. I pushed play. Listened.
"Yuck!"
Then, after a nagging thought I played it again, listened a little more closely..and understanding the words, what they were supposed to convey, the beat better..I began to love it. Now I can't get it out of my head lol.
I love their new album, probably becauseout of all the albums it has the most songs on it that I like.

Yeah, the song is called 'This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race.' I didn't like it the first time I heard it, but after some time, it kinda grew on me. So yesss, I do like it now.

I don't particularily like it, maybe the least likeable song on their new CD to be quite honest. Because their new CD is so different, they must've thought that they'd have the greatest success with the song that kind of linked old sound to new sound? Not sure.

I found few similarities between this album and the previous one.. they changed their style a lot, especially in the new song, "This Ain't A Sin, It's An Arms Race". I might even say that I dislike it more than the other ones in the album, it is already included in my least favourite Fall Out Boy songs.
Apart from that, the video isn't that bad, I've seen it this week for the first time on MTV2, although I had seen it on YouTube, but couldn't grow fond of it either. Now, I kinda like the idea of mixing their old videos or at least bringing those characters in the new one.
I am not sure that this time the guy on the coffin was still William from The Academy Is... , which starred in the A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More Touch Me. The gospel sound in a Fall Out Boy song freaked me out, though.

Well This song is a total brick off the wall... the CD is not all like "This Ain't a Scene, It's An Arms Race".... take "Carpal Tunnel Of lOve" off of 'Infinity On High' is nothing like "This Ain't a Scene, It's An Arms Race"... But yeah I can see why you don't like this song because its not really my cup of tea either... But yeah I would prefer to listen to something else...
