do u think the metro will be a reality

Yes they have already started working on the metro in Mumbai. I have seen the work in progress but at a very very slow rate. It will be a reality some day but i'm not very sure in my life or after that. As most of you'll know India is really very slow at constructing or building things as we do not have the proper machines and tools required and also people are kind of lazy Lolzzz... So i would take a really very long time to come up i guess. We just have to keep waiting and waiting with all our dear patience.

I don't think that there will be no delay, since it is a very huge project to complete off, and the situations which are pursuing in mumbai like heavy population etc. can obstruct this project for completion. and if it completes in time, then there is nothing gud than that, since reliance is involved in it, so it might complete on time.

Well, Metro and all will eventually get done, but I am not too sure about the time frame. In their hurry to get things sanctioned and started, a lot of areas badly needing a metro , such as powai, are being sidelined. Besides, history says that the delays are mostly due to bad organization of existing traffic in the areas where metro construction activity will start, and acquiring of land, however little it may be. I only hope it gets done in my lifetime...(I am 56...:-))

its difficult to develop a metro system parallel to the locals and the express highway... I think the city will have lot of problems it it were to develop such an infrastructure... calcutta in the 70s when the metro was made had to go across a lot of cummuting problems... jusyt hoping mumbai will pull it off...
