I thought this could be a discussion for people who study away from their home countries. I myself am an international student from Sweden currently studying in Australia. A lot of things here are different from home and I daily encounter difficulties with language, culture etc. I do also on a regular basis encounter moments of joy living abroad and I´m learning so much of it. Are there any other international students out there? Or are you planning to study abroad? What experiences do you have from being an international student? Feel free drop a few lines here. Cheers

I would like to be an intrnational student. I have been searching for some scholarships aboard where I could fit in. Hopefully I could find one 2 to 3 years time from now... What I love being an international student is that you'll have a lot of opportunities when you get back to your home country plus you'll also get the chance to explore the culture of the country where you are studying; meet more people; gain friends; experience their life and a lot moer interesting things. I have only been outside our country once and it was also because of Earthwatch. It was such a great experience and one of the best trips in my life. by the way, how does it feel to be an international student? are doing good in Australia? you know what, a like Perth compared to other cities in Australia.

I have never left the USA but if I did Australia is a place I would like to travel to. I have internet friends there. Is it dificult to get cleared to study there? I am 63 years old but have thought about starting more studies. I would love to get into an archaeology course and I think that the region of the world that would be wonderful would be that area.
