Simply put who do you think builds the best cars and why? Personally I think Toyota and Nissan build them best. They come from factory pretty much without bugs, they are reliable for thousands and thousands of miles with little to no maintenance, and the resale is decent. Your turn.

A few years ago I too would have said nissan but I am now on my second Citroen , I have been lucky enough this time to buy a new car ( my first ever new) and I chose the Citroen picasso desire , I love it . It runs smooth , It drives well , And prety good with petrol consumption too . The addad bonus is the front seat raises and as I am under 5 ft that makes it brilliant in my eyes so 10 out of 10 for Citroen xx

I never imagined I would hear Citroen mentioned on here. My only experience with them was an old Mahari. It's a cloth top plastic bodied thing. Ugly as sin but it was ok once the engine was swapped.

Ford makes the best cars in the USA. We've owned Fords for the past 10 years (since we could afford to buy new cars) and they have never let us down. I am constantly impressed with the quality of the vehicles, especially after comparing them to comparable GM models.
And I'm not saying that just because my husband sells Fords ;)

Oh no, not a Ford salesman. Did he have to get word from the mysterious man in the tower before he told you to post this?;)

I didn't throw Honda in because of three reasons
1) They are usually over priced if you try to buy one used
2) I figured someone else would bring them up
And
3) It's the most frequently stolen make of care here in the US.
As much as I love adventure, even I am not willing to make a gamble every time I park the car, that it won't be there when I come back out.

I have some experience with VW and Audi. I thought Skoda was a Czech brand. I've seen some probs with VW and Audi, not that they aren't good cars, just that they take more to keep maintained and tend to require more repairs than some others.

Yeah, I like them as well. Their quality has dropped a bit in the last couple of years and you can't get one in a manual transmission, at least last I checked.

lol I had a Nissan pickup that I put 250000 miles on. All I ever had to do was change the oil, changed a clutch once, and replaced the slave cylinder for the clutch once, oh and a muffler. That was all I ever had to do with that truck. My brother's was a year older and it's got close to 300,000 on it. It's just amazing to me.

I will honestly say that my Jeep has been pretty good but it's been a bit more maintenance intensive than my old Nissan pickup ever was.

the only problem with custom cars, sometimes the engines don't hold once they have been tuned.

I do not know about Nissan but we have Toyota Camry and our car rocks! we have gone on long trips and the car is just too smooth. In fact, my husband drove from Florida to Chicago when he was relocating and our car never let him down. So, I guess Toyota is the best. You are right, little to NO maintenance and the car is so so smooth that I could drive it with all confidence even in accute weather conditions.

i love a nissan!! my first car ( that i bought myself ) was a 1986 nissan pulsar and the body fell apart before the engine! it had about 160,000 miles on it before i finally let her go. now i have a 1987 nissan pulsar nx and i love it! it is the most fun little car i have ever driven. and whats really neat is now that its 20 years old and nissan no longer produces that make and model, i got to register it as a historical vehicle! pretty cool huh?

Japanese cars are the best built cars in general. They have good compact looking cars, stable reliable, durable and their value stay high, they keep their value. I have a Mitsubishi Lancer OZ Ralley and it's anamazing car. I wanted to buy the Honda Civic 2 door Coupe, but didn't really fit my budget and the insurance was a bit over than I excpected. I Toyota's are at the top of the list in Japanese cars. You could never go wrong with Japanese cars.

I've had a Hyundai for several years. It was inexpensive to maintain and the fuel consumption was good. Recently I bought a Mercedes and I am very satisfied with it. It is a second hand car and already 12 years old, but with low mileage. I had it serviced and was pleasantly surprised when I received the bill. I suppose I will have to spend a bit on normal wear and tear, but I got it at such a low price that I don't mind, as I could basically pay cash and doesn't have a monthly payment to make. And I am really satisfied with its fuel consumption.
