I have a list of funny things to say to telemarketers and I can barley keep a straight face when I do it:) seriously though, the do not call registry does work except for charities, or companies not seeking any payment or any kind of credit application over the phone. (I used to be a telemarketer so I know a lot of their loopholes) You can ask for their company number and ask to speak to some kind of high up person in the company. If you do that, usually that gets the call center in trouble and they shouldn't call you again. I think, though, there are some things we just have to deal with in life. I used to work in call centers because they offer you like $10 to start, which is so much higher than most places. I always felt so bad when people would get upset, so I got out of it and just went into foodservice when I was in school.

I'm not sure who told you the do not call registry does not work. It must have been a telemarketer. LOL Because yes it does work, I was getting about 10 a day then I entered my number in the registry and all but 1 stopped. I waited a few weeks and entered my number again and then they all stopped. Every year I re-register and I never get telemarketers or any bogus calls anymore. So go there and register now.
