Why do people weart masks?!!

Have you ever wondered why people wear mmasks.both real and imaginary[virtual].
I guess the answer would be twofold.
I think that the people wear imaginary masks in real Life pretty much to cover up s to how they really feel.You know,we all tend to do that.I mean,if we all say what we thought in our heads outright,then we would not have any friends or family left.
As to real masks,well,people I think wear them fro mtwo reasons.One would be to cover thier identity.You knoe like stealing or doing some other crime.we all have seen this happen so many times.but the main reason i think that people wear masks,real ones that is,is that they want to let go of thier inhibitions.pretty much it goes like this,"cover your face,and let loose your imagination".
I have been to a couple of masked parties and you would not believe the things people do when they are masked.OMG!!!
I guess once one is masked that is it.you can act on your fantasies and have no fear that your ID would be known.kind of like Batman/Batgirl.what is your take on all this?

I agree, but sometimes they are wearing amask for their tradition's specially if the special occasion like fiesta. But some other's are hiding like you said their identity for the reason that they need to protect them self.

I agree with all you say about these 'masks'. Some are imaginary to hide behind, some are just for fun and some are made to be used in ways of power as a shifting of conciousness. Losing your inhabitions is one way of learning about each facet of the diamond known as your self. Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year! I can let my imagination go. And people, I believe, are more responsive to someone being different or off the wall at this time of year. They tend to accept the fact that this is only temporary. However, most people would cringe or be shocked if they saw someone do this behavior at some other time. It's all in conditioning. ;]
